Triston and you had dentist appointments this afternoon for your 6 month checkup. You have both been SO exited to go. The dentist always gives you a token and you get to choose a prize with it. We got there at 4:00 and shortly after, the power went out and it apparently had gone out through out most of town. Well, we had to reschedule and that made you two boys very, very sad. Triston was really upset because he wanted the dentist to check for loose teeth, but you were close behind him in the grieving! It's amazing how sad you can be over missing a dentist appointment.

I have been dragging you to Biolife twice a week and for the most part you really like it. You really like the lady who works in the day care center, Kathy. She always has art projects and coloring pictures out for you that she knows you will like. The day that you broke your collar bone, I cancelled going there and you were really upset because you wanted to show Kathy your sling and tell her what had happened.
You love to help me around the house. You love it so much that I actually try to do everything when you are asleep. Not that I don't want you to learn how to work and help others, it is just really hard to have your over-zealous enthusiasm helping me clean the toilet. I do try to find little jobs for you to do, but you know when I am giving you jobs that are worthless. But, I do love how you are always willing to help me with everything!

We went to the sand dunes with Grandma and Grandpa and Jeni, John and Mackayla. You LOVED it there! You all just ran around and got buried in the sand. On the way home, you kept saying that you loved it there and wanted to live right next to it! I spent the 15 minute drive home explaining that we lived almost as close as you could get!
Last night you asked me when your collar bone was going to be healed. I felt so sad for you! I think you thought it would be fun to wear the sling for a few days and now the fun has worn off. I sure hope it heals fast, but today it hurt more than it ever has.

You were not in a very happy mood today. I am not sure why, but you just cried over everything. You also fell like 13 times. You kept tripping over everything on the floor and running into walls. Maybe you had a growth spurt?
Over the last couple of months, you have not been very happy to go to church and primary. You say that it is too long and you don't want to go. But, I know that you really like your teachers, so I am not sure what is going through your mind. But, today you went to primary and didn't complain at all and I was very proud of you!

The last 4 months have sure flown by and I feel really guilty that I have not recorded all the "Connorisms" that have happened. You are charming and witty full of personality!
You have the most random thoughts and I have a lot of trouble following those thoughts sometimes. A couple of weeks ago you told me that you know how babies cans see inside the mommy's tummy. You said that the mommy's bones glow in the dark, "like glow sticks". Such a funny boy!
You finished preschool in early April, so you were stuck home with me, which did not go well for ever of us. You did not like me doing my job in the morning and insisted on getting my full attention when I should have been working. You started preschool again in the middle of May and it has been a lot better for both of us. But, you are now having a hard time with Triston being able to go to a drama camp he is signed up for this summer. You have a very competitive steak in you and want to do everything Triston does.
You did get something like Triston that you have always been jealous of. Last Thursday, May 23, you broke a bone, just like Triston! You both were playing with an office chair in the kitchen that Grandpa had brought over for me. You were taking turns sliding each other across the floor. You were having such a great time until you fell off. You were in a lot of pain and I could tell with the way you were acting that something was wrong. So, I took you to Urgent Care where you got an x-ray and you had a broken right collar bone. You have been a little upset that you didn't get a cast and that you didn't get a stuffed bear from surgery like Triston did, but you have been a real trooper. To keep your shoulder from moving too much, we put your arm in a sling and then wrap your arm down to your side. You really aren't in that much pain, which really surprise me. You can move your arm around and you try to do everything like normal. The only time it does hurt you is if you try to extend your arm out in front of you or above your head, or if I try to pick you up in the wrong way. You also hurt during the night. you hAe been sleeping with me and I try to keep you propped up, but you still wake up crying a few times. You love the attention, though! You love telling me that you are in pain and need medicine. You also love telling people that ask you about your hurt arm, that it is your collar bone, not your arm. I feel pretty guilty about what happened. I should have stopped you from playing on the chair, but you were having so much fun!
A couple of weeks ago you had your first tumbling recital and you were so excited for it. I think you were more excited for the candy lei that Triston kept telling you that Grandma would make for you and the medal that the coaches would give you. Your class performed to the "I just want to be King" from the Lion King, so you got to wear a lion's tail and roar like a lion. I watched you practice your performance many, many times and you always did it the correct way, so I will never understand why you chose the actual performance to completely rebel! You decided to stay in your lion character and keep crawling across the balance beam when you were supposed to be walking. Your coach even tried to get you to stand up and you wouldn't, but I do have it all recorded to torture you with in the future!
Cooper gave you his old bike, which is a great size for you! You love this bike and have loved riding it. You can actually go a lot faster on it than on your much smaller bike. When we first started riding bikes and you still had your old one, your little legs had to work three times as hard as me and Triston and you could not keep up with us. But, on this new bike you can almost keep up and you love going so fast! About a week ago, you wanted to try to ride Triston's old bike without training wheels and after two days of trying, you were able to do it! You were so excited and I was so proud of you. We then took the training wheels off your new bike and that was little bit harder. It was just a little too tall for you, so you couldn't start or stop. You also had a little trouble starting and stopping on the smaller bike, but you were very determined to be able to do it and practiced and practiced and wouldn't let me help you, and you mastered it! And then a couple of days later, you broke your collar bone, so you are back to riding your old small bike with the training wheels and an old trike, but you don't seem to mind.
You stopped taking naps about a month ago. I don't know if either one of us was ready for that, but you would not fall asleep at nap time at all! I would lay down with you and fall asleep, but you stayed wide awake. And then on the days you did take a nap you would not fall asleep until after 9:00. There are days when you should take a nap, and there are days you fall asleep on the car around 5:00 and there are days you are really, really grumpy, but we are working on all of it. Actually, most days you are grumpy and whine and whine, but that is my Connor and I still love you!

You had tumbling today and you are getting pretty good at it. I do not know how you have the energy to do all that you do! It amazes me, but you also amaze me with your sense of humor and your amazing hugs and your giggles and your happiness!

You have the most animated facial features. You crack me up every time I look into your cute little face! You show every emotion possible and it is usually pretty exaggerated. You can also change your moods very, very quickly! You will go from a sour, mad, scrunched up face to a grin from ear to ear! I love this about you so much!
